Where it started
A company in the finance sector wanted to digitalise customer-facing workflows, for several business units.
How the bottleneck showed
Each unit had its own process logic and its own, often manual connections to the surrounding systems. Every new digital journey therefore meant new interfaces and new manual work. The interfaces were the point where new initiatives got stuck.
Where it came from
The units had each digitalised their workflows on their own. There were no shared building blocks, so each unit built the same things again.
What we did
Process
Where the units’ process logic was alike, we brought it together into a generic process platform.
IT
At its core is a generic interface that encapsulates complex process logic and is used by several business units. On top of that came highly available systems for the services behind it, for example a digital identity verification monitored in real time. We connected many surrounding systems via automated service adapters.
What stays
New workflows use the same platform and the same interface. That means fewer manual interfaces, and new digital journeys are built on existing building blocks.
